My first creative expression was textile hand weaving.  It has been my love and passion for as long as I can remember.  As a master hand weaver, I have been weaving for over 30 years. I have shown my work nationally.

 

I have found myself confronted with what it really means to be fully self-expressed.  I never really thought that others got who I am.  However, it was I who didn’t know how to share all of myself.

 

So many times, I have been told to focus on only one thing and have that shine.  This left me conflicted in the times that I wasn’t inspired to weave.  I turned to other creative outlets just thinking they were hobbies.  

 

I came to the realization, not too long ago, “Why should I be limited to only one possibility, when I have so much more to offer?  Why not share everything?”  This left me freed up to create newly and to share myself.

 

Being an Artist means being fully self-expressed in every way possible.
